KCT Consulting Engineers (registered name: Perunding KCT Sdn Bhd) is one of the fastest growing engineering design consultancies in Malaysia. The firm was founded by Ir. Tan Kian Chuan, our Managing Director, who graduated with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from The University of Oklahoma, USA.
Ir. Tan was inspired to start his own consultancy in 1995 after having worked on an extensive portfolio of innovative and high-value engineering projects in the earlier part of his career.
From the very beginning, Ir. Tan instilled in every member of the company the need to Go The Extra Mile for our clients. Engineering design requires great precision, but to him, the written specifications only provide the starting point. Our job at KCT is to look beyond, to transcend constraints of space, time, budget or inspiration to add value through precision, meticulousness, creativity, innovation, clear thinking, or even something as simple as being extra neat and unambiguous in our design drawings.
Value engineering is our goal. This means we will strive with our professional experience, knowledge and creativity to produce designs that are economical in cost and yet provide the most effective way to frame the structure with all architectural, facilities and safety requirements fulfilled.
